GO Green: The Best and Safest Way To Travel

So I've heard, continuously, that the safest way to travel is in the air. This is in an airplane 30,000 feet above multiple terrain nationally as well as overseas. This is amidst multiple turbulence, unexpected malfunctions, and all the weird technological issues that can cause this metal enclosed bus to crash to the ground. Planes use absurd amounts of fossil fuel to get from one place to another. Planes are very inefficient and always poses some risk. They are cramped and the capacity is limited. They are expensive to run as well as expensive to use by the everyday individual. There are tons of airports and thousands of planes being used carrying millions of people everyday.
They suck.

THE SAFEST WAY TO TRAVEL
The most efficient and safe way to travel is by Train. High-speed railways throughout the country, in my opinion, make the for the best and safest means of travel. The option for railway travel should be in every town and every city no matter the size.
First, they are on the ground. Trains also use less energy by way of the type of energy that be used to run them, they can be better controlled in the event of a system issue, and can operate better in high winds and bad weather. Trains use energy more efficiently, in that we don't have to rely on gasoline or diesel to run them.

National travel dominated by the train is what I'm pushing for.  There is nothing more relaxing that riding in your own vehicle at your own pace, listening to your own music, and being able to fart when you want to.
Travel in a train needs to be more comfortable than car travel.
It's not just about minimizing the use of fossil fuels and the effect it is having on the environment and the atmosphere, it is about SAFE travel. It is about comfort. It is about using what we got by expanding on it. Turning it green and pushing for a better future.

Which brings me to AMTRAK. We have a national rail. It is called Amtrak. This passenger rail is the national travel rail.

And absolutely, what we need to be doing is expanding on this rail. Upgrading this rail. Spending on this rail. We need this rail to be lifted up. Make this train the national means for travel.
There are more planes that trains. However, trains are able to accommodate millions everyday, it has more capacity than planes. We could be using this rail to get to destinations across the country. This can be our national means of travel, taking the place of the plane.
And of course, this change will be beneficial to the United States because it will create jobs in the restoration, creation, and maintenance of the rails, railway systems, including people working at stations and as train attendants onboard.
Upgrading the trains, allow us to include a switch to renewable energy source, such as adding solar and storage power.

ACCOMMODATION
I have traveled on the Carolinian. It isn't a bad ride but you can feel the bumps and rockiness. What we can do on these trains is to get rid of classes, space out all the seating in front and behind, make the seats roomy, make sure they recline, decrease the bounce in the train either by the shocks on it or the upgrade of the train tracks, add WiFi, keep food/drink/snacks available, make sure there are plenty of trash cans, recycle bins, use a green toilet that will not splash blue water all over people, lower ticket costs, separate seats by an inch that are together providing individual arm rests, provide air conditioning in the heat and heating in the cold, plugs and accommodation for mobile devices, lower ticket costs, and MOST IMPORTANTLY make sure the trains are easily accessible from every location in the nation (there must be stations) which increases the stops but accommodates multiple travel needs. After implementing all this, the train can become the everyday means of transportation.

We shouldn't wait on this. Green affordable and efficient change is good for the country. This change would benefit us in the present and the future. Think about it.
